Photo Editing and Retouching

Recently I have been doing some video editing work for a client who is setting up a business in taking aerial video and photos. Here's an example of one of the photographs where I was able to rescue a very drab original by way of manipulating the original RAW file taken from the drone camera. Given a little bit of time and effort I was able to create two images with different exposures from the original data. The settings were tailored to give me one image to capture the highlights in the scene and another to capture the shadows while attempting to have as much detail as possible. The two images were then blended together with some careful brushing and layering in Photoshop to produce the final image.

Final image after reprocessing the RAW file into two separate exposures, creating layer adjustments and then blending by hand.
