Sy Thomas has never climbed A peak before, let alone three - but he is always up for a challenge in the name of charity. Last year he drove 4000 miles through West Africa and the Sahara desert in a clapped-out car bought for £100. However, ‘sitting’ is very different to ‘hiking’ and he’d better get his scrawny frame in training a.s.a.p.Although still a ‘newbie’ in the world of comedy, Sy has been fortunate to perform throughout the UK, and is honing his talent as resident compere at ‘Falling Down with Laughter’ in London Bridge – one of the city’s friendliest and well-regarded small comedy venues. During the day he is a kids TV presenter which explains his haircut and fashion sense. He’ll be the one wearing yellow boots and a stripey rucksack.
Sy’s waif-like physique and general frailty will mean he’ll be the first to be ‘picked-off’ should any of the other comedians become peckish.
