Hi All,

During the "No Laughing Matter" Three Peaks Challenge, teams will be led by a qualified mountain guide, so navigation 'shouldn't' be a problem on Scafell Pike (although serious conditions on this mountain can still cause even the best of us some trepidation..!)... and I've done it MANY times...

In April, we will be organising three ascents of Scafell Pike for Three Peaks Challenge team leaders or organisers, each group hiking with a mountain guide, starting and finishing at Wasdale Head, Cumbria. This will not be a test of fitness or endurance, but a chance to get to know the area you will be visiting.

On Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd, we will have groups leaving Wasdale at around 10.30am to return by around 5pm, and on Saturday we will also have a group leaving at around 3.30pm for some interesting night walking.

Team leaders and team members of the "No Laughing Matter" challenge are invited to join us, at no cost, during this weekend to get a taste of what's in store... Please note that additional items (Beacon Guides, etc) are only supplied to paying walkers.

If you are interested in having a go:

1. Please download and read the event information. ( wasdale booking information.pdf )
2. Print a booking form ( wasdale booking form.pdf ) and fill it in - tick the "Act4Africa" section. No cheque required.
3. Post the form to me, at the address supplied.
4. Make sure you bring all of the items on the equipment list..! ( walking tour kit information.pdf )
5. Please turn up! If you change your mind - let me know...

Keep training, get fit, stay safe,

Richie..
