Act4Africa Video Clips

Visit the Act4Africa website to view video clips showing the support and training provided by the charity.

Act4Africa trains and funds teams of Africans to deliver AIDS Prevention Education and Behavioural Change Programmes in Africa. The charity was set up 6 years ago to combat the AIDS Pandemic and has delivered health education programmes to over 600,000 young Africans since.

Said Lesley-Ann Newman, Communications Director for Act4Africa,

“We are thrilled that the comedy boys have committed to raise money to combat AIDS in Africa.  Last year there were over 3.1million new HIV infections – that’s the equivalent of a Tsunami every month in terms of people condemned to an early death and no hope for a future.  Act4Africa is determined to do all it can to combat AIDS through health education and behavioural change programmes.”

Explaining why he decided to get involved in the event, comedian Rex Boyd said,
“As Act4Africa knows all too well, life is short. The world is out there presenting opportunities to people who want to take advantage of them. ‘Maybe one day...'  just turns into probably never unless you make that first step to commitment by answering not just, 'yes, I could do that' but actually telling yourself and others that, 'yes, I will do that'. The challenge of climbing the 3 highest peaks alongside the challenge of potentially saving lives of fellow human beings in Africa presented me with one answer only…….'yes, I will do that'.”
